Lizensierung
Abo-Lizenzen
Die Lizenzen sind mittlerweile auf ein Abo-Modell umgestellt. Die Nutzungsdauer ist jeweils auf drei Jahre beschränkt und wird automatisch verlängert, sofern das Abo nicht drei Monate vor Ablauf gekündigt wird.
Pro Benutzer und Rechner wird eine Softwarelizenz benötigt. (Beispiel: Bei zwei Benutzern mit jeweils zwei Rechnern benötigen Sie vier AdminStudio-Lizenzen.)
Die Lizenz ist zeitlich begrenzt und läuft nach drei Jahren ab. Installationen, die während dieses Zeitraums erstellt wurden, funktionieren auch nach Ablauf der Lizenz weiter. Sie können jedoch nach Ablauf der Lizenz nicht mehr auf InstallShield zugreifen.
Die Lizenzen ermöglichen die Nutzung nur innerhalb Ihrer Organisation.
Zeitlich begrenzte Abonnementlizenzen beinhalten Updates und Support für die gesamte Laufzeit:

- Zugriff auf die Wissensdatenbank
- Zugriff auf die Produkt-Web-Communities
- Beispielcode, Beispielprojekte und Whitepaper
- Technische Webinare/Online-Produktdemonstrationen
- Unbegrenzte webbasierte Anfragen über den eService
Kopierschutz
Die Produkte enthalten einen Kopierschutz, der nach dem Kauf die Aktivierung beim Hersteller für einen bestimmten Rechner erfordert. Eine Übertragung auf einem anderen Rechner ist aber möglich. Näheres regelt der Lizenzvertrag.
